Born in London - Raised in Glasgow - Grew Up in the Bay Area

 

Born in May of 1959 to two Scottish parents living in London. Within months of my birth we moved back to Glasgow. My parents eventually split up and my mum and I moved into my Grandparents home. From 1959 to October 17, 1968 I lived in Glasgow Scotland.

 

For a long time, we did not have a TV, we listened to the radio. Music was always a big part of our family while growing up. Can you imagine listening to the BBC radio in the sixties playing music from all the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Bands like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Dave Clark 5 and the Kinks were a huge influence on me from an early age. I was exposed to some of the greatest music of all time.

 

In addition to my love of Rock and Roll bands, I was always drawn to Crooner style vocals as my grandparents liked this style of music. I grew up listening to crooners like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and Jim Reeves. To me, those are the guys that can truly sing.

 

I was 9 on October 17, 1968 when we moved to America. My mom and new step dad settled in the town of Rodeo California, a suburb in the San Francisco Bay Area. What a culture shock but I quickly fell in love with the Bay Area of the late 60’s and early 70’s; what a great place to live.

 

As a teenager, I went to nearly every day on the green concert. Bands like the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton, Lynard Skynard and James Taylor are a part of my growing up, my youth, my influences, my memories.

 

My vocal style ranges from crooner oriented songs to easy rock. I have several tribute shows; Dean Martin, Neil Diamond and Jimmy Buffett. These shows are fun and there’s a lot of audience participation and singing along. Most people know all the songs.

 

I offer a unique list of a la carte services catering to the Wedding and Event Planning marketplace. From our full service Master of Ceremonies Program where we do everything to the Do It Yourself / DIY Program for the client on a budget. We offer sound and lighting equipment consultation and advise you can count on. All of our rental equipment is affordable and easy to setup.

 

Our sound, lighting and photo booth packages add a tremendous degree of professionalism to any wedding or event.
